Financing & incentives

Go solar with no money out of pocket.

Most Ecogen customers choose a no-money-down solar lease. Prefer to own it? We offer purchase and loan options too, and we'll compare all three for your home.

Most of our customers go solar with a lease. There's no money out of pocket, you pay a monthly amount for the power your panels make, and the leasing company owns and insures the equipment. If you'd rather own your system, you can buy it outright or finance it with a loan. Owners may qualify for local incentives — we would have to double-check for qualification.

Lease ($0 down)

Nothing out of pocket to start; the most popular choice with our customers.

Loan

You own the system and pay it off over time. Owners may qualify for local incentives — we would have to double-check for qualification.

Purchase

You own the system from day one. Same idea as a loan on incentives, and no monthly solar payment.

Questions homeowners ask

Does a lease qualify for local incentives?

Usually the leasing company owns the system, so incentive benefits are built into your lease price rather than paid to you directly. Prefer to own? Owners may qualify for local incentives — we would have to double-check for qualification.

What about the federal solar tax credit?

The federal residential solar credit no longer applies to homeowner-owned systems bought after 2025, so we don’t count it in your numbers.

Who gets the local incentives?

It depends on which incentives you qualify for, and we will review at the time of the proposal.
